Biography

Dr. Cotronei is a board-certified allergist and immunologist who is also fluent in both English and Italian. She specializes in the care of treatment of seasonal and perennial allergies, including bee stings, food allergies, asthma, and skin conditions like eczema. She treats both children and adults. Her goal is to help patients understand the “why” of their allergic symptoms and prescribe individualized suitable treatments. 

In her spare time Dr. Cotronei enjoys the natural beauty of northern Michigan including hiking in the woods and mushroom hunting. She also loves to cook and bake, and enjoys a wholefood plant-based diet. She is the owner of a rambunctious rescue dog whom she describes as, “adorable and stubborn.” She believes he is an Australian Silky terrier and his age is unknown.
 

Education – Degrees, Licenses, Certifications

Dr. Cotronei received her medical degree from University of Milan in Italy. She completed pediatric residency training from University of Turin School of Medicine in Italy and internal medicine residency training at Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, MI, where she also completed her fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology.
